The first thing you’ll want to do is get yourself a large pot filled with water. Then add salt and pepper to taste. Next, chop up one onion into small pieces. After that, cut two cloves of garlic down the middle. Now, peel your tomatoes by cutting them open from top to bottom. 1 butternut squash (peeled)

2 cups vegetable stock

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

½ cup onions chopped

4 cloves garlic minced

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Salt & Pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut off a small piece of skin on each end of the squash so it can sit flat without rolling around.

Place squash face up on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 45 minutes, turning once halfway through cooking time.

Remove from oven when soft enough that you can easily pierce with a fork. Let cool slightly then scoop out seeds and discard them.

Scoop flesh into blender along with remaining ingredients.

Desserts made with a blender

Everyone loves desserts like milkshakes, pie and ice cream. But did you know that you can make some of your favorite desserts in a blender?

You can use some fresh fruit or some canned fruit and juice to create quick and easy recipes! Just follow these simple tips below for making dessert in a blender.

One top tip is to use frozen fruit in your blender instead of fresh fruit.

Frozen fruits are already cut up so they blend easily into smoothies. You will generally need about 1 cup (250ml) of frozen fruit per recipe. If using fresh fruit, add it at the end when blending. This way, all the other ingredients have time to be blended together before adding the fruit.

Another thing to remember is not to overfill the container as this could cause splashing which may damage the motor on your machine.
