Negative reviews of the hand blender include difficulty using the on/off switch for some users and assertions that the 120 watts may not be up to performing the task of all kitchen jobs. One thing worth mentioning about 59735 immersion blender and about hand blenders in general is that they are not well suited for beating egg whites, as a few users reporting failure have attempted. In culinary terms, to beat egg whites stiff, you need to introduce air while whipping it, something a liquefying immersion blender simply does not do.

The Hamilton Beach 59770 Turbo-Twister 2-Speed Hand Blender is easy to clean and comes with an easy to grip handle surface and non-slip speed control, and while the Proctor Silex hand blender may be cheaper, we really enjoy the 67% more power offered by the Hamilton beach blender that comes at a minimal premium if you are on a budget.

If you wish to take a more powerful and expensive route than what the Proctor Silex 59735 provides for serious hand blending jobs, then the Waring Heavy Duty Immersion Hand Blender is the one for the job. Understand that this is essentially upgrading from a pea shooter to a bazooka. This blender has a ridiculous 750-watts of power and turns 1800 RPMs on its high-speed setting. This would only be recommend this particular extra powerful blender to individuals who need a reliable blender with lots of power for long periods of use—such as in commercial settings and by professional cooks.

For those looking for something in the middle of the road, the Braun Multiquick Blender also has an optimal 400 watts of power, is designed like a work of art and performs admirably. Considering the number of attachments the Braun MR5550MBC Impressions Multiquick Handblender is bundled with, it also is a great value and truly deserves its top rated reviews. If you are looking for something versatile and can spare the extra dough for the upgrade to this model, we are certain you won’t be disappointed. Otherwise, the Hamilton Beach is also an excellent, but more modestly powered choice with great value.
