Ever since I had peanut sauce on shrimp dumplings at my nearby chinese restaurant, I've been in love with this spicey sauce.
However, it was only until recently that I went out on a limb and made it myself.
This recipe is incredibly easy to make but I want to to highlight some tips. Definitely do not skimp on the peanut butter. Go with an organic peanut butter or atleast one that is unprocessed. Your sauce will come out so much better.
Also, don't be afraid of using sweetener. I love maple syrup and will use it with this recipe. If I taste my final product and it tastes a little bland, a tad of sweetener will go a long way. Trust me on this.
Peanut Sauce can be made in nearly any blender, so go wild. Try out the recipe and let us know what you think. I'm confident you'll go nuts over it!
Peanut Sauce Recipe
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (unprocessed)
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 Tablespoons Tamari
- 2 Tablespoons sweetener (agave, maple syrup etc)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
1.)Heat Water on stove.
2.)Add hot water and peanut butter to blender and blend until consistency is smooth.
3.)Add other ingredients and blend.
4.) Use as a topping or dipping sauce for a multitude of recipes. The college kid in me loves this sauce on Ramen noodles!
