The Cookies and Cream Dream
Sometimes a craving for the cookies and cream flavor of an Oreo shake just can't be satisfied by anything else.
This wonderful blend of rich chocolate and sweet cream makes a one of a kind Dalmatian-spotted shake recipe. One taste and you will know your tongue has died and gone to heaven.
We have even heard tales of people using any old cookie as a stand in for the traditional Oreo cookie, but we find the best milkshake flavor and mouth-feel arises from using the classic. Truly, this shake recipe can be modified in any number of ways – you can even invert the flavors and surprise your taste buds by using chocolate ice cream and the 'blonde' Oreo cookies with the chocolate crème center! Our favorite addition, however, (for the 21 and older crowd) is a shot of Irish cream liqeur per cup of milk used.

Oreo Shake Recipe
What You'll Need
- 2 scoops vanilla or cookies and cream flavored ice cream
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4-6 Oreo cookies (depending on the ice cream)
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 2 shots Irish cream liqueur (optional)
- 2 chilled or frozen glasses
Instructions
1.) Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Add the Ice cream before the Oreo Cookies.
2.) Blend until smooth. The higher the speed the frothier the result will be.
3.) Drizzle chocolate syrup on the inside of the chilled glasses for a decorative effect.
4.) Pour Immediately into chilled glasses.
5.) Top the froth with whipped cream and a final thin 'lacing' of chocolate syrup and serve.
