Inside, this Cuisinart hand blender has the same 200-watt motor but is available exclusively in the brushed stainless steel. At under 4 pounds it is realtively light. The CSB-77 is 2.6 inches in diameter and 14 inches high.

While we were a little disappointed about the chromed plastic housing on the CSB-76, we took solace in that the shafts of both units are stainless steel construction. The CSB-77 Cuisinart hand blender is only slightly more expensive in comparison to the CSB-76, but considering it comes with a whisk attachment and mini food processor attachment, we find this to be a better deal on the whole for the added versatility at a small premium.

If you are looking for a hand blender, you will do well with the Smartstick Cuisinart hand blenders. And if you think you will use the attachments, it’s worth it to spend a little extra and go with the CSB-77. The bottom line here is that both of these blenders are highly and widely adored by owners and provide good construction, quality and performance at a very good price. You truly can’t go wrong with a Cuisinart Smartstick hand blender.
